Panul Forest

Panul Forest is a forest located in the commune where I live, La Florida. This forest belongs to the Sclerophyllous Forest, which is a type of forest typical of the Mediterranean climate of prolonged dry season and of short and cold winters, so it exists in only 5 places in the world. In our country it is located in the central area.

This forest is home to several species of flora and fauna that have some conservation status, for this reason its conservation is very important for the preservation of the biodiversity of the area. In addition to the above it is one of the few green lungs of Santiago.

Visitors usually leave a lot of rubbish, light fires inside the forest although it is forbidden. Other visitors enter with motorcycles for sport but the passage of the wheels on the roads erode the ground and the noise of the motorcycles interrupt the natural cycle of the species that are inside the forest. Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation as well as a lack of environmental education in the people who visit it.

It is very important to educate people about environmental issues, because the few green spaces and without human intervention are very small, these spaces are a great contribution to life on the planet, the diversity of species is a very relevant topic in these times because the extinction of species is increasing.
We must all contribute to the care of forests and natural spaces, the Panul Forest is very beautiful and the species within it need our care, For this reason we must educate those around us to contribute a grain of sand and to change people’s bad habits.

IRON MAIDEN 2019

Iron Maiden is a British heavy metal band founded in 1975. They have visited our country several times and their concerts have concentrated thousands of fanatics, for that reason when I knew they were coming to Chile again, I decided to buy my ticket because you never know when it might be the last time.

I went with a college classmate and his friends. When we arrived we tried to get as close to the stage as posible, at that time there were not so many people so we managed to stay too close to the stage.
As the hours passed the National Stadium was full of people. And when the Iron Maiden show started all the people in the back started moving forward, in a moment I felt desperate because there were a lot of people squeezing us and if you didn’t jump you couldn’t breathe, it sounds paradoxical but it was real hahaha

I love the staging that this band has at concerts, as the artists change costumes and the stage always has a montage for each song, it’s too amazing! As you can see in the picture, at one point when they were playing the song "The Number of the Beast" came out a giant head that was The Beast, It was unbelievable because it was spinning and it was like it was watching us.

I had too much fun and when I was already finishing the concert and played "Hallowed be thy Name" which is my favorite song, right in front of us lit a flare and opened "the circle of death" could not believe it, it was very exciting!

Colombia

A country I wish to visit promptly is Colombia. I am very struck by the culture of that country, I would very much like to be there and do an on-site research of its musical currents and ancestral cultures. As I like percussion, I am very attracted to the musical culture of this country and its folklore, as of its dances.

Another aspect that makes me very interested in visiting Colombia is for its richness of flora and vegetation, its climate allows for a lot of biodiversity. Because it houses a large number of plant species this country is rich in knowledge about natural medicine, food for good living, cosmetics, among other knowledge linked to nature.

I would love to travel through all the cities of the country and get to know flora, fauna, forests, rivers, mountains, towns and cultures, until reaching the Amazon.
I wish with all my heart to be able to know the Amazon sometime, I am imagined as a very magical place with a lot of teaching to deliver.
I find that Colombia is a country with many elements that we can observe, learn and care for.
